Our second stay at the Hyde (formerly Voco) was just as pleasant as the first. Front desk staff are warm and welcoming, and our room, while not huge was more than adequate. We like how the toilet is separate from the sink and the shower too! Definitely get a room that includes breakfast, which is top notch at Hyde! We stayed during the spring season and the gorgeous jacaranda were in bloom and dining outside for breakfast was an extra special treat. I also love the cool viibes gym and its shaded outdoor space for doing yoga.

I absolutely loved the warmth and hospitality of the staff at Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank. I have not stopped thinking about the kindness that was extended to me during my short stay. Utmost gratitude to the front desk/reservation desk team and the guest relations manager; they made me feel at home. I was even given a complimentary voucher for their tasting room and enjoyed a cognac flight tasting which was also facilitated by an exceptionally warm member of the team. The location of the hotel is also prime and I will surely stay there again when I return to the city of gold.

The Hyde Hotel is a beautiful hotel inside and outside. The hotel is vibé and has an energetic feel to it in the lobby and restaurant aria. The King VIP Room that we got on a special was a beautiful spacious room. The toilet was separate from the bathroom, which is great. The coffee bar was well stocked with great quality coffee and tea's and drinking water was given for free in room. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice big screen tv. The concierge service was excellent, and the concierge staff was very friendly and inviting when we arrived and left the hotel. The breakfast was also tasty and delicious.

The hotel is part of a shopping mall and restaurant area. Interior: Room nice, on 7th floor with great view, We liked the graphic artwork on the walls -- mostly originals/limited prints (?) Security: Although we don't necessarily like to spend time in shopping malls, this was a great choice for security reasons. Staff told us it's safe enough to walk also outside of the mall approx. 1 km radius (in daylight), but we opted for the golf cart for our 1km ride to dinner and back, which the hotel offered -- it's complimentary but don't forget to tip properly. Surroundings: Cafes and restaurants nearby are great; bar in hotel, too. Parking: Flawless (valet)

The location is amazing, in the heart of Rosebank and allows you a sense of security with the malls complex. We were in an incredible room and breakfast everyday in Rosemary, an incredible restaurant located in the entrance of the hotel.

Exceptional service, wonderful location, their restaurant, Proud Mary, was fantastic! Great breakfast and dinner there. Right on the edge of an upscale, uplifting mall (try Wedgwood ice cream and candy.) Could’ve stayed anywhere but didn’t want isolation. Hyde is fun, pretty, modern. Fantastic and genuine staff ready to help, everyone seemed to love working there, and I don’t blame them. Highly recommend.
